Contact Lenses
The most important aspects about Contact Lenses in my office are: I am after the best possible vision and comfort.

I carry an extensive selection of both soft and gas permeable contact lenses.
You may need just a single vision correction without astigmatism, or one with a correction for astigmatism.
There are lenses you can wear for one day and toss them out, to lenses you can sleep in up to a month. The possibilities are endless.

How do I fit contact lenses:

After a thorough eye exam, I will determine if you are a good candidate for contact lenses. It is important to check the health of the eyes, tear production, etc. We will instruct you on how to insert and remove your contacts, and how to take care of them. After selecting the appropriate contact lenses, I will check your eyes under a special instrument called Slit Lamp. I will do a fluorescein test  (I put an orange dye in your eye and check your with a black light) during pretesting  and on most contact lens visits. It is very important that the contact lens does not compromize your cornea. If I am satisfied on how they look, they have to have good movement and be well centered, you can then wear them home. I will check you a week after you have had them and you will come in wearing them (at least 2 hours of wear is good). If not, I'll make as many changes as necessary till we are both happy. If everything looks good, I can order your 6 packs. I will want to see you again after you have worn your diagnostic lenses about one month. It is important that I check your contacts twice a year, YES, TWICE a year. Since I am responsible for the health of your eyes, I want to make sure that your eyes stay healthy and the best way of doing this is by checking you twice a year.
