About Dr. Papernick

I am an Optometrist in Mount Pleasant, PA. I started my Optometric Practice in 1969 and plan to practice Optometry for many, many more years.

I was born in Glassport, PA. My family had a small grocery store there. I helped while I was growing up. I did everything from cutting meat to delivering groceries.

When I first visited Mt. Pleasant, I fell in love with this wonderful small town at the foothills of the mountains.

In 1970, Ruth, now my Office Manager, and I got married. She is originally from Mexico City. She has a Masters Degree in Spanish Language and Literature. We have two children: Leah, who is married to Eric Lippert, and lives in Seattle; and Norman David, who lives in Pittsburgh.

I enjoy what I do. I love to help people see better. The key is to love what you are doing. I’m helping people preserve and improve one of their most precious possessions: their sight. I do not merely treat eyes, but take the whole person and their general health into account. Of course, my utmost concern is for you to be happy with your new glasses, contacts or laser surgery.
